Job Description

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing large RDBMS databases like Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL & MySQL in large Environments
  • Must have good hand-on experience on database build, configuration, performance tuning, patching, upgrade/migration, back/restore
  • Have solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL Technologies\
  • 2-5 years of experience working on AWS or GCP Cloud platform
  • 2+ years of experience in build/deployment of Infrastructure as Code(IaC) on multi-Cloud platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation/orchestration tools like Terraform, Codefresh, Jenkins, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud infrastructure , architecture, networking & security
  • Good communication skills. Ability to collaborate with different teams & vendors
  • Adaptable & eager to learn new tools & technologies

    • Provide database expertise to engineering teams (for example through reviews of database migrations, queries and performance optimizations).
    • Work on automation of database infrastructure and help engineering succeed by providing self-service tools.
    • Plan the growth and manage the capacity of Grab's database infrastructure.
    • Design, build and maintain database infrastructure that allows us to scale to assist hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
    • Support and debug database production issues across services and levels of the stack.
    • Make monitoring and alerting alert on symptoms and SLOs, and not on outages.
