Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical Data Scientist / Applied AI Scientist to build data-driven and AI-powered solutions that solve complex business problems. The role involves working across advanced analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI, delivering insights and models into production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large, structured and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Design and build machine learning and statistical models for prediction and optimization
  • Develop Applied AI solutions using NLP, GenAI, and recommendation systems
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate problems into data science solutions
  • Build feature engineering pipelines and perform model tuning
  • Deploy models in collaboration with engineering and MLOps teams
  • Create dashboards, reports, and storytelling insights for leadership
  • Monitor model performance and ensure continuous improvement

Required Skills:

Data Science & Statistics

  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and linear algebra
  • Hands-on experience with Python / R
  • Data analysis libraries: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy
  • Model evaluation, A/B testing, and experimentation

Machine Learning

  • Supervised & unsupervised learning algorithms
  • Time series forecasting and clustering
  • Experience with Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM

Applied AI & Generative AI

  • Experience with NLP and LLM-based solutions
  • Prompt engineering and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
  • Hands-on with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude)
  • Embeddings and semantic search
  • Vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Milvus, Weaviate)

 

 

Data & Visualization:

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
  • Data storytelling for business impact

Deployment & MLOps (Preferred)

  • Model deployment and monitoring
  • MLflow, Kubeflow, or cloud ML services
  • Docker & cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Good to Have:

  • Experience in Deep Learning (TensorFlow / PyTorch)
  • Knowledge of Big Data tools (Spark, Databricks)
  • Domain exposure: BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, HR Tech, Supply Chain
  • Understanding of AI ethics and governance
